Join the Eta Pi (NYU) House Board!
Every Kappa chapter is required to have a House Corporation -- incorporated in its own state -- which collects a one time fee along with regular maintenance fees from active chapter members. The House Board is responsible for managing these finances.
Eta Pi's HB currently has 9 elected trustees along with 6 ex-officio members: the Chapter President, Treasurer, House Chair and their respective advisers. The money collected is redistributed to the chapter in many ways, including covering ongoing expenses (insurance, storage, initiation, regional/convention attendance, etc.) and additional financial needs. Recent purchases thanks to the HB include needed items for Kappa's suite on NYU's campus and electronic clickers for voting!
The HB also files reports with the IRS and Fraternity headquarters, and acts as a second line of chapter support through their close relationship with the Advisory Board.
